CLASS FAQ
Resin is a chemical, please make an informed choice
If you are booking in for the Resin class it is important to remember that resin is a chemical and as such we ask that you first review the Safety Data Sheet particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a child to make an informed decision - we do not recommend the use of resin for people in that stage of life.
This class is a functional piece, which means you will seal your art supplies with resin. Once this resin has been cured for 30 days it is considered inert and therefore food safe under the FDA regulations. Watercote resin is a poly resin and the final product will be glossy with a slight texture - if you are looking for thick glassy resin boards, you will be looking for an epoxy resin class.
Traveling with your work
For your resin class, we highly recommend traveling via taxi, uber, or carpooling. You will absolutely need to travel home holding your work with both hands to minimize movement of your design, for which there will almost certainly be some. Traveling with it on the floor of your car will see your design move significantly as the resin is the consistency of honey when you leave.
Parking
There is plenty of parking available on-site at no cost to you.
What to wear to class?
Please wear old clothing, with long sleeves or BYO an apron, you are attending an art class and should dress accordingly. Resin can not be removed from your clothing if you get it on it, there is no way to remove resin from clothes in spite of common wives' tales to the contrary - this resin will wash out with water if you attend to it before it cures, however, the colour pigments may leave a stain.
Can I pre-order a meal?
No.
What happens if I can't make it?
You can find the terms and conditions here. For this class, you will lose your deposit if you cancel within 7 days
